Considering the great changes coming along with new technologies, the future of work seems highly uncertain and unpredictable in many sectors. To address this topic, the Swiss Pavilion provides, during this thematic week, insights into the role of technical and vocational education and training TVET in keeping up with fast changing working environments. More specifically, the aim is to elaborate on how vocational education can provide youth with flexible learning skills and a mind-set adapted to lifelong learning, fostering a dialogue with the United Arab Emirates UAE, the wider region and the world.

In close collaboration with the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation SERI, Erik Swars, Head of International Affairs at SFUVET, contributes to the following activities:

  • On December 12 in the Panel discussion “Delivering TVET at a scale” at the RewirED summit that is led by Dubai Cares, and organized in partnership with Expo 2020 Dubai and in close coordination with the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation MoFAI.
